One more check on the Christmas list!

I had a great day yesterday. I had Christmas music on, the kids were busy playing with each other and I got to sew for most of the morning! On top of that my email was packed with comments from people visiting the blog because of Giveaway Day.

Hi new followers! I'm so happy that you are here! I woke up early and had a great time visiting other blogs and entering to win all sorts of sewing goodness. This year the giveaways last all week so you have plenty of time to get in on the fun!

So as I was saying, yesterday I had a chance to get in some quality sewing time. I made some Christmas presents for some of my fashionable younger cousins. I found this tutorial for an infinity scarf via the very addicting Pinterest.
The tutorial is from at a very cute blog called Put Up Your Dukes. She does a great job explaining the process and even has video to help you out. These scarves are very quick to make once you get the hang of it. I made mine with knit cotton yardage, but you can also use a very large t-shirt.
It feels great to have a few more gifts ready for Christmas. The list of handmade gifts is a bit long this year. Hopefully the kids will continue to give me a chance to sew! That way I will be able to give these gifts of love and thoughtfulness, and if not there are always Starbucks gift cards!
