I'm so excited to finally have some pictures of my sweet little boy in some mommy made clothes! He is such a cute little guy and was very excited about his new outfit.
This week's theme for Project Run and Play is being green/eco-friendly. I used one of my husband's old work shirts for the George's new shirt. The pattern is "Kai's Shirt" from the book Weekend Sewing by Heather Ross. The shirt I used was a no-wrinkle, iron-free type, nice for day-to-day use but a little difficult when you are trying to iron crisp seams and hems. The shorts are made from a pair of adult khaki pants. I used this tutorial from Dana at Made. I really love how the shorts turned out. They fit really well and the fabric I used has a nice heft to it.
The shirt makes me smile because it was made from something that was well used by my handsome husband. And now my little guy (who has the exact same smile) looks so charming in it!

nice job on that shirt Tara. I love how this outfit doesn't look up cycled at all, it just looks great!
